Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have announced that the Apex Legends x Mobile Suit Gundam limited-time event will go live globally on March 10, 2026 (March 11 in select regions), running through April 14.

The collaboration marks one of Apex Legends’ largest crossover events to date, integrating Gundam-themed cosmetics, gameplay mechanics, and collectible Mythic-tier items directly into the battle royale experience.

Eight Gundam-Inspired Legend Skins
Eight Legends receive Gundam-inspired skins during the event:

- Alter — Gundam Epyon
- Crypto — Freedom Gundam
- Valkyrie — Wing Gundam Zero
- Conduit — Gundam Aerial
- Gibraltar — Ξ Gundam (XI Gundam)
- Mirage — Destiny Gundam Spec II
- Octane — GQuuuuuuX
- Revenant — Gundam Deathscythe Hell

A Char Aznable-inspired Sparrow skin will also be available through the event store.
Each skin carefully blends Mobile Suit design language with Apex’s silhouette readability to preserve competitive clarity.

Gundam-Themed Weapon Skins
In addition to character cosmetics, the event includes multiple Gundam-inspired weapon skins featuring beam effects, energy motifs, and iconic color schemes.

For collectors, these weapon cosmetics complete the crossover set and enhance in-game visual identity. Including the “Buster Rifle” Kraber, the “Destiny 99” R-99, and the “Aerial 301” R-301.

Broken Moon Map Overhaul
During the event, Broken Moon undergoes a Gundam-themed transformation featuring:

- Mobile Suit wreckage across the terrain
- A massive climbable Wing Gundam statue
- Aerial warship battles in the skybox

The changes elevate environmental immersion, giving matches a large-scale mecha war atmosphere.

“Wildcard: Gundam Takeover” Limited Mode
The event introduces a special LTM titled Wildcard: Gundam Takeover, adding Gundam-inspired gameplay modifiers:

- Epyon’s Lash — magnetic melee pull
- Heavyarms Salvo — missile strike support
- Zero Sacrifice — explosive self-destruction
- Zero Rebirth — temporary invulnerability upon re-entry

These limited-time mechanics provide a fresh strategic layer distinct from standard playlists.

Two Mythic Heirlooms: Epyon Heat Rod & Beam Saber
A major highlight of the event is the introduction of two Gundam-themed Mythic Heirlooms:

- Epyon Heat Rod
- Beam Saber

The Epyon Heat Rod is obtainable through Gundam Heat Rod Event Packs, while the Beam Saber is available via Gundam Beam Saber Event Packs.

As Mythic-tier items, both include custom inspect animations, melee effects, and unique presentation sequences. For long-term Apex players, Heirlooms represent prestige and investment — and this crossover brings two of Gundam’s most iconic melee weapons directly into that status tier.
