Forza Horizon 6 Launches on May 19, an Open-World Racing Adventure Set in Japan
Forza Horizon 6 will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam on May 19, 2026. The game is the latest entry in the Forza Horizon series and features the largest map in the franchise to date, spanning across Japan.
Set in Japan, Forza Horizon 6 delivers the most detailed and immersive open world in the series, combining Japanese automotive culture with iconic regional landscapes. Players can race through the neon-lit streets of Shibuya in Tokyo, drift along the fog-covered mountain roads inspired by Akina, explore the snowy terrain of Hokkaido, and drive beneath cherry blossoms near Mount Fuji.

The game features more than 550 officially licensed vehicles, including JDM icons, European supercars, and classic vintage models. Cars such as the Toyota GR GT and Ferrari J50 are included in the lineup, offering a wide range of driving and collection options for players.

Forza Horizon 6 also introduces a dynamic lighting and weather system with real-time day and night cycles, as well as changing rain and snow conditions. Combined with high-resolution visuals, the system is designed to create a realistic driving experience across different regions of Japan.

The game includes two parallel gameplay paths focused on urban street racing and off-road exploration. Driving assist options and an advanced tuning system are available to support both new players and experienced racing fans.

In addition to racing content, the game incorporates elements of Japanese street racing culture, anime-inspired design, and local regional themes to create a more immersive festival atmosphere.
Digital editions are priced as follows:
Standard Edition ($69.99): Base game, pre-order bonus Ferrari J50, and day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass.
Deluxe Edition ($99.99): Includes the base game, Car Pass, and Welcome Pack with additional vehicles and content.
Ultimate Edition ($119.99): Includes all Deluxe Edition content, plus VIP Membership, 30 pre-tuned exclusive race cars, two major expansions, and two additional car packs.
The game is also scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 later this year. Players can now add the game to their wishlist through the PlayStation Store.
