NetEase's New Game 'Once Human' to Begin OBT on June 10

NetEase's new survival game, 'Once Human', has revealed new information and its open beta schedule through the Future Games Show 2024 showcase. The game, which is set for official release on July 9, will commence its final open beta on Steam starting June 10.
A four-minute video was released, featuring a developer introducing various aspects of the game. 'Once Human' has garnered significant attention, with over 12 million pre-registrations worldwide. The game stands out with its post-apocalyptic setting and unique creature designs that are rarely seen in other games.
One of the key features of 'Once Human' is its extensive content. Players must explore to secure essential resources for survival, while also enjoying the freedom to build settlements, collect items, and engage in competitive content. The game caters to different player preferences, allowing them to focus on specific content they enjoy. Although some areas allow players to attack others and loot resources, the developers have ensured that those who prefer PvE can play without major disruptions.

Players will take on the role of a 'Meta', cooperating or competing with other Metas to establish their own bases. Each server can accommodate about 4,000 concurrent users, offering a seamless open-world experience for more natural gameplay. NetEase has also announced plans to set up dedicated servers for Korean players by the third quarter of this year.

The final open beta test will begin on June 10 at 10:00 AM PT and will last for approximately one week. Participants in the test will receive special cosmetic items as a reward.
