Tencent Games has just released the first gameplay PV for its new action strategy game, Virtual Circle, also known as Virtual Hub or Virtual Ring. The title combines idol-themed elements with intense combat gameplay, and pre-registration is now open in China.

Virtual Circle targets idol fans

Virtual Circle is designed for fans of idols, entertainers popular in Korea, Japan and China. Developed by Tencent's Content Development Department (CDD), the game has been compared to titles such as Uma Musume Pretty Derby, although Virtual Circle offers a more action-packed experience.

Players take on the role of a mysterious detective tasked with gathering, training and managing an idol group to compete in the VFC Strongest Idol Competition, while uncovering the dark secrets of the game's world. This title mixes several genres, incorporating virtual idol, business simulation and urban fantasy elements.

Gameplay features and highlights

The gameplay PV shows teams of four competing in virtual Anchor Battle competitions, with players adjusting their strategies as they go. The game's graphics are impressive, and character switching appears to be an integral part of progression.

The PV also features popular V-Circle anchors, including the virtual image of national first-class actor Cai Ming's Nanaizi, and other notable figures such as Xingtong, Nanami, LuLu, Shanbao and members of A-Soul.

Pre-registration and availability

For those in China, pre-registration for Virtual Circle is available through the Haoyou Kuaidao App Store, which will notify users of upcoming tests. However, there are no specific details yet on an English or global release, including the release date and gameplay specifics for these versions.
