Everstone Studio is marking the half-year anniversary of its open-world wuxia action RPG Where Winds Meet with a series of major announcements, headlined by the reveal of its second major expansion, Imperial Palace, which is set to launch at the end of May.

Alongside the DLC reveal, the developer also confirmed a slate of upcoming content updates, including player housing, a companion system, new weapons, and a range of limited-time cosmetic items. As part of the anniversary celebration, all players will also be able to claim 3 free premium outfits during the event period.

A panda-themed limited-time cosmetic set will also be released on May 19, with the bundle designed to raise awareness for wildlife conservation. Priced at $0.99, it will remain available for 30 days, until June 17.

Where Winds Meet is now available on IOS, Android, PS5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Developed as an immersive open-world wuxia action RPG, the game lets players forge their own legend in 10th-century China, featuring a mix of single-player, co-op, and PvP gameplay. Players can engage in combat using distinctive martial arts and a wide range of unique weapons across a seamless and expansive world.

Following the expansion of the Hexi region, the story shifts toward the imperial heartland. The new Imperial Palace area expansion opens up a previously inaccessible royal complex spanning approximately one million square meters, including the palace and its surrounding districts. Its scale is said to be comparable to Kaifeng City.

Within the game, players will encounter over 3,000 NPCs, each belonging to different factions with their own motivations and agendas. The expansion aims to deepen the experience of court life, allowing players to uncover political intrigue and form new relationships within the imperial court. The narrative also teases the possibility of even larger events unfolding in future updates.

New Homesteads System
Players can now establish a personal base in Qinghe, the starting point of their journey. The system allows players to build and customize their own sanctuary, cultivate farmland, and embrace a more secluded lifestyle as a wandering martial master living in self-imposed retirement.

Tomb Exploration & 5-Player Co-op PvE

Two new gameplay modes will debut simultaneously in June. The Martial Path Domain introduces 5 players cooperative PvE challenges, while the dark ancient tomb exploration mode pushes players into high-risk treasure-hunting scenarios that test survival instincts, adaptability, and combat efficiency.

New Weapon: Gauntlets

The long-anticipated Gauntlets weapon class will launch later this summer, featuring a unique martial arts system designed to deliver close-range, high-impact combat and a more visceral hand-to-hand fighting experience.

Companion System

A new companion system is also in development, introducing a range of "furry companions" to the world. As players build bonds with them, their personalities and dialogue will evolve dynamically, reflecting the player's journey and creating unique, individualized relationships over time.
