Hollow Knight: Silksong All Crests Locations & How to Upgrade Them
In Hollow Knight: Silksong, Crests are special implements that allow Hornet to equip and use various Tools. Crests and Tools work similarly to Charms and Notches in the original Hollow Knight:
Each Crest has color-coded slots for Tools.
Equipping Tools gives Hornet new combat abilities, exploration options, and passive effects.
Swapping Crests changes not only Hornet’s moveset but also the type and number of slots available.

Crest Name | How to Get | Description |
Hunter Crest | Starting Hornet Crest. | Stalk prey and attack with lethal strikes. |
Reaper Crest |
| Attack with heavy, arcing slashes and reap additional Silk from enemies. |
Wanderer Crest |
| Cut swiftly and numbly with short, precise strikes. |
Beast Crest |
| Tear foes with savage slashes. Bind to enter a wild fury and steal life from prey. |
Witch Crest |
| Whip the needle in sweeping swings. Leech the life of foes through twisted roots. |
Architect Crest |
| Spin the needle as a screw, shredding foes. Spend Silk to rapidly craft new tools. |
Shaman Crest |
| Cast the blade forward and empower Silk Skills with powerful runes. |
How to Upgrade Crests
To unlock more slots for your crests, you will need to gather Memory Lockets, which can be obtained through various ways, like picking up a white glowing item you see on the ground or through merchants.
