How to Beat Savage Beastfly in Hollow Knight Silksong
Stay Grounded During the Charge
When the Beastfly begins its charge attack, remain on the ground and hug the edge of the arena. This causes the boss to crash into the wall, leaving it stunned for a few moments and giving you a safe opportunity to strike.
Note: Jumping over the charge can be risky—the boss may adjust mid-dash and hit you while you’re airborne.
Punish Its Attacks

Every time Savage Beastfly commits to an attack, it creates a brief opening:
Charge Attack: Pogo on its back as it dashes.
Slam Attack: Sidestep the landing zone, then counter with a few hits while it recovers on the ground.
Defeat the Summoned Bugs First

The boss will regularly summon smaller enemies. Since there doesn’t appear to be a cap on how many can spawn, these bugs can quickly overwhelm you if ignored. Use Thread Storm to wipe them out efficiently.
Lure Bugs Into Its Slam Attack
Savage Beastfly’s slam is powerful enough to instantly kill its own summons. Run toward the adds when the boss prepares this move to bait it into wiping them out for you.
End the Fight Quickly

This battle becomes harder the longer it drags on. As the fight progresses, Savage Beastfly will summon more and more bugs, eventually flooding the arena. Treat this encounter like a DPS race—save Thread Storm for burst damage, and capitalize on every opening to bring its health down quickly.
Savage Beastfly Attack Patterns
Charge Attack
Dashes across the arena toward Hornet’s last position. It can perform the dash low to the ground or midair depending on Hornet’s height.
Slam Attack
Hovers briefly before diving straight down. This move can be chained multiple times in quick succession and also kills summoned bugs on impact.
Bug Summon
Lets out a roar, dropping a cage that releases a random bug enemy into the arena.
