During the CBT period, players can experience parts of the main story, character interactions, card progression systems, login rewards, and beginner-focused in-game activities ahead of the game’s official launch. The test also includes limited-time card banners, Truth or Dare-style events, and survey rewards, giving players a chance to explore the game while providing feedback for the final release.

According to the test rules, this is a paid closed beta with data wipe. Player progress will not carry over to the official version once the test ends. However, eligible top-ups made during the CBT are expected to be rebated after launch according to the official rebate rules.

Developed by Aurora Studio and originally published by Tencent Games, Light and Night is one of China’s most prominent otome mobile games. First launched in mainland China in 2021, the title has since become one of the leading games in the genre, alongside Love and Deepspace and Tears of Themis.

The game combines visual novel-style storytelling, card-based character growth, and interactive romance mechanics. Players take on the role of a young fashion designer in the fictional city of Guangqi, navigating her career, personal relationships, and emotional stories shaped by her past as a “runaway bride.

Light and Night SEA is currently being developed for iOS and Android devices. According to player tips shared on Reddit , users outside Southeast Asia may need to switch their VPN to a Southeast Asian country before joining the CBT. Since no public player cap has been announced for the test, access may be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
