Lord of Mysteries, the officially licensed game adaptation of the Chinese web novel Lord of the Mysteries, has opened recruitment for its upcoming “Gray Fog Test.” According to the game’s official FAQ, recruitment began on May 22, with the test scheduled to start on June 26. The test will be available on PC, iOS, and Android, and is described as a limited paid data-wipe test. Its end date has not yet been announced.

Developed by SPARK NEXA / Hangzhou Tanzhi Yuzhou Network, the title is positioned as a UE5-powered European-style occult fantasy MMORPG. The game adapts the world of Lord of the Mysteries, featuring a setting built around mysticism, steam-age cities, secret organizations, hidden gods, and the supernatural “Beyonder” system.

According to official platform descriptions, players will choose from 22 divine pathways as they progress through the game. Its advancement system draws from the novel’s pathway, sequence, potion, and acting-method concepts, rather than relying only on conventional MMO class selection.

Public materials have highlighted several early pathway examples, including Seer, Spectator, Warrior, Mystery Pryer, Apprentice, and Bard. These pathways appear to define different character directions and play styles within the game’s role-playing framework.

The game is being promoted with Unreal Engine 5 visuals and environments inspired by a Victorian-era occult fantasy world. Official images and descriptions have shown locations such as churches, castles, mountains, manors, and the city of Tingen, along with scenes of exploration and party-based combat.

For now, Lord of Mysteries remains in testing. The upcoming Gray Fog Test will allow selected players to try the game across PC and mobile platforms, but progress will be wiped after the test. No full release date has been announced.
