Riot Games has unveiled the Inkborn Fables update for Teamfight Tactics (TFT), set to revolutionize the game with the introduction of the 'Encounters' mechanic and the addition of 59 champions. This innovative feature will randomly present characters on the board or carousel, potentially aiding, obstructing, or altering gameplay significantly.

Inkborn Fables broadens the game's universe by bringing two characters from Runeterra into the fray: Luna, Aphelios' twin sister, and Kobuko, a debutant Yordle martial artist. Alongside these characters, the update includes over 100 augments, 27 traits, and new tacticians, aiming to provide a novel and enriched gaming experience.

Lead designer Lynda Tang emphasized the update's goal of transitioning players to a world of ancient legends and serene adventures, differing from the previous set's party atmosphere. The Inkborn Fables set is designed to immerse players in a mystical world, offering beauty and unexpected challenges through its diverse new features.
