Publisher 4Divinity and developer Sword Panda Limited have released a new gameplay and story trailer for Sword Sage: Awakening, the upcoming action RPG inspired by Chinese mythology and folklore.

The latest trailer follows San Niang, a disciple of the Yuangong Sect, as she embarks on a journey through the world of Jiannandao. Long ago, forbidden celestial texts containing divine knowledge were uncovered and leaked to humanity, disrupting the balance between the mortal and spirit worlds. Now, San Niang must face the consequences of that ancient mistake.

The newly released footage offers a closer look at Jiannandao, a land transformed after the Supreme White Gibbon Sage accidentally unearthed the long-sealed scriptures. Empowered by knowledge that mortals were never meant to possess, the world has since been ravaged by natural disasters and monstrous infestations. In response, its people have developed advanced technologies to survive and resist the growing threats.

Throughout the trailer, San Niang battles formidable enemies using the Yuangong Sect's martial arts techniques, swordsmanship, mystical artifacts, and a secret sword technique as she fights to protect her homeland.
