Guangzhou-based studio Beiluo Shimen has announced Escape from Zootopia, a top-down PvE extraction shooter scheduled for public testing in Q3 2026. Set in a zombie-infested world inhabited by animal survivors, the game challenges players to scavenge for resources, acquire equipment, and survive dangerous expeditions. Early footage highlights three-player co-op gameplay, PvE combat, and destructible environments as key features.

In Escape from Zootopia, players take on the role of animal survivors venturing into hazardous areas in search of weapons, supplies, and valuable resources. Each expedition presents new dangers, and only those who successfully extract can bring their loot back for future runs.

Scavenge for Weapons and Resources

Resource gathering lies at the heart of the game's extraction-focused gameplay loop. Players can search containers and environmental interaction points for weapons, crafting materials, and useful supplies while exploring each area. Additional rewards can also be obtained through combat encounters.

Survive Against PvE Threats

Players will face a variety of PvE threats throughout their expeditions, including infected creatures that attack in groups and automated defense systems capable of suppressing large areas with sustained fire. Adapting to different enemy types and environmental hazards will be essential for survival.

Use Destructible Environments to Your Advantage

Environmental destruction appears to be one of the game's defining features. Many pieces of cover can be damaged or destroyed during combat, allowing players to expose enemies hiding behind defensive positions and create new tactical opportunities.

Team Up in Three-Player Co-op

Gameplay footage indicates support for three-player cooperative play. Players can coordinate movement, share resources, and work together to overcome challenging encounters while improving their chances of a successful extraction.
