Adult-Focused RPG Make Drama: MAD Set for June Launch
WEMADE Connect has confirmed that Make Drama: MAD, a new subculture collectible RPG developed by Fluffy Duck, is scheduled for release in June. Ahead of launch, the development team shared additional details about the project, its target audience, and the ideas behind its title during a media interview conducted before the game's appearance at ILLUSTAR FES, which takes place at KINTEX from May 23 to 24.

Described as a collectible RPG inspired by the lighthearted atmosphere of isekai stories, Make Drama: MAD has been presented as an “RPG players would want to play themselves.” Since its initial reveal, the title has attracted attention for its character designs created by illustrator “Snowball”, whose work is already familiar to many fans of the genre.

Earlier this year, the game encountered a setback during a closed beta test conducted through One Store. The test for a version rated for players aged 15 and older was cut short due to classification-related issues. Following the incident, the development team removed the previously applied censorship measures, adjusted the game's rating to adults only, and stated that the change would allow for a broader range of stories and character portrayals.

Narrative design has also been positioned as one of the project's key pillars. According to Narrative Lead Kim Jae-won, the title Make Drama reflects the idea that players should actively create their own stories through interactions with the game's characters. Rather than focusing solely on character collection and progression systems, the game encourages players to build relationships with its cast and shape personal narratives as they play.

The subtitle “MAD” was chosen to emphasize what the team describes as a more intense and unconventional form of entertainment. The developers also noted that the title was intentionally designed to spark curiosity and encourage players to discover the game's identity for themselves.

With its June launch approaching, Make Drama: MAD is beginning its public promotional activities through events such as ILLUSTAR FES, where attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the upcoming RPG ahead of its release.
