Kuro Games has announced that Punishing: Gray Raven will receive its next major update, Homecoming Voyage, on June 2. The update introduces a new S-Rank Alpha frame, expands the game's story, adds a new roguelike gameplay mode, and brings a range of rewards and quality-of-life improvements for players.

A Fast-Paced Action RPG Continues to Expand

Punishing: Gray Raven is a sci-fi action RPG known for its fast-paced combat, character-driven storytelling, and post-apocalyptic setting. Players command a roster of Constructs in battles against the corrupted forces threatening humanity, combining action combat with character progression and narrative-focused content.

The centerpiece of the Homecoming Voyage update is Lucia: Inverse Crown, a new S-Rank Alpha frame. Designed as an Ice-element Attacker, the character features a more aggressive combat style and a visual design inspired by what Kuro Games describes as “the forge bearing hell.”

Alpha’s Past Takes Center Stage

Alongside the new character release, Homecoming Voyage advances the game's main narrative with a storyline focused on Alpha's origins. The update opens the Transatlantic region and explores Alpha's life before becoming an Ascendant.

Players will learn more about her time at F.O.S. College, including details about her human past and the story behind her name. According to Kuro Games, this chapter represents one of the most significant narrative developments for the character to date.

New Mode, Rewards, and Progression Improvements

The update also introduces Shrouded Requiem, a new roguelike mode featuring a retro British-inspired setting. Players will explore the Mist alongside new companions while uncovering secrets connected to the mode's storyline.

Additional content includes new Invitation Missions for Selena, Kamui, and Alpha, as well as a new F.O.S. College exploration area.

Homecoming Voyage will also provide a variety of player rewards, including approximately 34 free pulls through events, a free S-Rank Omniframe Selector, a free Rainbow Card Shop coating, and a limited-time Raven Regalia Commandant outfit.

Several progression and convenience updates are planned as well. These include increased resource rewards across multiple game modes, faster Construct Shard acquisition, Battle Pass catch-up systems near the end of seasons, sign-in recovery options, formation filtering tools, and updated gacha presentation.
