Rust Mobile Open Beta Set for July 9 in Hong Kong and Macao, China
Chinese publisher Level Infinite has announced that Rust Mobile will begin an open beta test for the Hong Kong and Macao regions of China on July 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). The upcoming test will be available on Android devices and will not require invitation codes or activation keys.
According to the announcement, all player progress and account data collected during the beta period will be reset once the test concludes.

Originally revealed under the name Codename Outpost, Rust Mobile is the officially licensed mobile adaptation of Facepunch Studios’ survival title Rust. The game has previously gone through several testing phases, including an alpha test in Canada in 2025 and a closed beta test in mainland China, alongside multiple rounds of optimization and stability adjustments.

Like the original PC version, players begin with minimal resources and must gather materials, craft equipment, construct shelters, and survive against both environmental threats and other players on a hostile island. The mobile version retains core survival mechanics such as PvP combat, raiding, hunting, and base management.

The regional open beta is scheduled to launch through the Google Play Store, TapTap, and the game’s official website. Level Infinite has also opened a pre-test survey ahead of the beta period as the team prepares for the upcoming playtest.

Additional information regarding the test and future updates is expected to be shared through the game’s official social media channels and community platforms.
