This summer, Shanghai will host two major DOTA2 offline events. The International 2026 (TI2026) will take place at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai from August 20 to 23, while ahead of the tournament, "Chapters of Immortality," the world's first official DOTA2 symphony concert, will be held at the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall on July 11.

From an international esports tournament to a live symphony performance, Shanghai is set to become the center of attention for DOTA2 players and esports fans around the world this summer.

TI2026 Returns to Shanghai This August

TI is the highest-level tournament in DOTA2 and one of the most influential esports events in the world. TI2026 will mark the 15th edition of The International and the second time the event has been held in Shanghai.

A total of 16 top DOTA2 teams from around the world will compete for the Aegis of Champions, the game's ultimate title.

June 9 - 28: Global Open Qualifiers and Regional Qualifiers to determine the final qualified teams
August 13 - 16: Swiss-stage group matches to decide the eight teams advancing to the main event
August 20 - 23: Main Event and Grand Finals

TI2026 Tickets Go on Sale June 10

Tickets for TI2026 will officially go on sale at 14:00 (Beijing Time) on June 10. Fans will be able to purchase tickets through the Perfect World Esports App and Damai.

To protect dedicated fans and maintain ticketing order, the event will also introduce a "Priority Purchase Qualification" system. Verified users will gain access to ticket sales 30 minutes before general public sales begin.

World's First Official DOTA2 Symphony Concert to Be Held in July

Ahead of TI2026, DOTA2's China operator Perfect World Esports will also present the "Chapters of Immortality" DOTA2 Symphony Concert. The event will be the world's first official symphony concert dedicated entirely to DOTA2.

The concert will take place on July 11 at the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall, featuring live performances by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra of classic DOTA2 in-game music and iconic tournament themes.

Since its launch in 2011, DOTA2 has become well known for its epic orchestral soundtrack, with many of its musical themes becoming shared memories among players worldwide. This concert will reimagine those compositions in a full symphonic format, bringing the emotional intensity and epic atmosphere of DOTA2 music to the live stage.
