Tencent Games Details Game Updates, IP Collaborations and Technology Projects at SPARK 2026

Tencent Games presented 45 major updates for the Chinese and global markets at its annual SPARK 2026 conference, outlining new developments across game development, publishing and investment initiatives.

This year’s showcase covered major content and gameplay updates, upcoming titles, IP collaborations, cross-platform projects and technology-driven audiovisual experiences. The event also reflected Tencent Games’ broader strategy to expand its global IP portfolio and deliver more immersive entertainment experiences both inside and beyond games.

Arma Reforger:

Bohemia Interactive’s military sandbox simulator Arma Reforger announced its upcoming Version 1.6 update, which will introduce a dedicated single-player campaign titled Operation Omega. The update will also add a free new map, Kolguyev, designed to support rugged-terrain PvP and PvE scenarios. Version 1.7 is also planned to introduce the FIA Resistance as a newly playable faction.

Animula Nook:

Animula Nook, a Lilliput-inspired fantasy life simulation game, has surpassed 8 million global registrations ahead of its official launch. During SPARK 2026, the game revealed the Insoul, a new race of Minies set to appear in the next test phase. The team also outlined upgrades to the Minies’ action, social and memory systems. The game is planned for PC, PS5, Switch 2 and macOS, with pre-registration currently available through its official website.

Chaos Zero Nightmare:

Chaos Zero Nightmare, a cosmic dark fantasy roguelite deck-building card game, is set to launch in mainland China on May 28. Developed by SUPER CREATIVE, a studio under Smilegate, and published by Tencent Games, the title will offer Chinese players early access to Fei, a character inspired by Eastern mysticism. Players will be able to build customized decks, with new gameplay content scheduled to launch alongside the release.

Tides of Annihilation:

Eclipse Glow Games announced at SPARK 2026 that Tides of Annihilation will hold its first hands-on event this summer. The studio also released a new technical showcase highlighting its engineering collaboration with Unreal Engine and NVIDIA. The video detailed improvements to CPU and GPU pipelines, Nanite-based optimization for “Giant Knight” encounters, and NVIDIA path tracing supported by driver-level optimization. Tides of Annihilation is currently in development for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as Xbox and PlayStation.
